Current Vodafone PAYG customers:

• If the phone is a surprise gift for a recipient who is a Vodafone customer, choose “Get a new phone number” option in the basket. You should hold onto the new SIM card as should they need a new size SIM card, our customer care can assist moving the existing Vodafone number onto the new SIM card. New Vodafone PAYG customers:

• If the phone is a surprise gift and the recipient is a Vodafone customer, it is best to choose “Get a new phone number” option in the basket. They can change their phone number to Vodafone at a later time by switching online or in store.

• If the person you’re buying the phone for is aware of the purchase and a new Vodafone customer, you should select the “Keep my number” option in the basket and the owner will need to give their approval of moving their phone number to Vodafone by providing a verification code sent via SMS during the checkout process.
