Building confidence in a digital world
Hi Digital, an online learning platform for individuals over 65 in Ireland, offers digital skills training to prevent social exclusion and loneliness. The initiative offers in-person training, free online courses and bite-sized lessons on internet basics, device usage, and online safety.
Tackling cyberbullying
Vodafone, in collaboration with DCU and ISPCC Childline, created Tozi to tackle cyberbullying, a first-of-its-kind-app. In many countries, 1 in 3 children faced cyberbullying in the last year. Tozi offers a space for children to feel good online.
On the ‘Cosmos’, they can access content to learn how to look after themselves and their friends when online. They can use the ‘My Space’ to chill out, check-in, make plans and reflect. Through the app, they can contact Childline for help.
Bright Sky
Bright Sky is a free app and website created to support those affected by domestic abuse. Developed by Vodafone Foundation in partnership with Hestia, Aspirant, and Hope After Harm, it offers practical help and guidance for anyone experiencing abuse or concerned about someone else.
Users can access information on recognising abuse, supporting others safely, and finding help.
