Using Twitter by text couldn't be simpler - there's no special app to download, and you don't have to connect to the internet.
You can send tweets from your mobile by texting them to 51210. You'll be charged your normal text rate for every tweet you text.
You can receive tweets on your phone by text, too - completely free*.
How does it work?
It's easy to get started. All you need is a twitter account. Sign in to your Twitter account. If you haven't got one already, then register for one here. Sign up now.
To send and receive your tweets by text, just text SIGNUP to 51210

How to receive tweets
- Go to the profile page of the Twitter user you're following
- Select turn on device notification by clicking on the mobile phone icon
- You can turn all your device settings on or off, or request that text updates be switched off between certain hours, at twitter.com/devices
