What is Vodafone Safety Net?

Mobile phones can be incredibly useful for parents and children, but research shows that sometimes problems arise - for both children and adults - with messages or communication from bullies.

Vodafone Safety Net is a free tool to help manage your – or your child's - phone connections. Through Mobile live! Mobile internet, we provide an access control system that filters out inappropriate mobile internet content for users registered with Vodafone as under 18.

With Safety Net Mobile Manager, you can block calls and messages from specific contacts and also disable the use of features such as the camera and the internet. Our filtering system is maintained by one of the top classification companies in the world, which assesses millions of websites.

How do I get it?

Vodafone Safety Net is available through Android and certain Nokia handsets.

  • Text SAFETYNET to 51745 from the phone you want to manage.
  • You will receive a text with a link to the Safety Net application, which will check to see if the phone is capable of supporting the software.
  • The download will complete and you can use the application right away.

If your phone doesn't support Safety Net, you will be presented with a list of phones that do support it.
