If I pay per day’s use, how is a day defined?

A day lasts from 00:00 GMT/BST to 23:59:59 GMT/BST – or midnight to midnight. So if you use mobile internet at 11am on any given day and then again at 1am the next morning, you’ll have used the service on two separate days.

Am I charged a connection fee every time I go online?

A connection fee is only charged once per day. So once you’ve been charged a connection fee on any given day, you won’t have to pay another connection fee for any additional sessions that day.

When I browse Vodafone live!, do I pay for data usage?

Yes, there is a charge for browsing Vodafone live! But you can top up on My Vodafone and visit your My Vodafone account for free.

When I download content from Vodafone live!, does this come out of my daily/monthly usage allowance?

The data that you use to get to any Vodafone live! content will come out of your allowance. If you watch content supplied by Vodafone, such as Radio DJ, it doesn't come out of your daily or monthly data allowance - you just pay the subscription. Browsing to get to Radio DJ is charged. Browsing and the data required to download ringtones, games etc. is also charged out of your allowance. When you download ringtones, games and other content, you must also pay for the actual cost of the content.

I've got a pay as you go phone. Can I get a mobile internet add on?

Unfortunately, this add on is not currently available to our pay as you go customers.

Can I sign up for more than one add on within a single month?

No – you can only purchase one add on each month

Can I remove the add on using the My Vodafone link on my phone?

Yes – you can manage this from your phone. Just hit the live! button on your phone and go to the My Vodafone section at the bottom of the homepage.

What's the daily limit for using mobile internet?

The daily usage limit is 50MB – that’s approximately 250 web pages or 2,000 adapted mobile pages, which should be plenty for anyone!

Can I rollover my unused MB allowance to the next day?

No. If you do not use 50MB in one day, you can’t add your unused portion onto the next day. Likewise, bill pay customers subscribing to the monthly add on can’t carry over unused data amounts from one month to the next.

What happens if I go over the daily limit?

If you go beyond the generous daily allowance of 50MB, your excess use will be charged at €1 per MB (0.1c per KB).

How much can I do with 50MB?

50MB = approx 50,000 KB. An average webpage is about 200KB and an average ‘made for mobile’ page is about 25KB. So 50MB is the equivalent of approximately 250 webpages or 2,000 made for mobile pages.

What counts as a webpage?

Every time you click on a link to go to another page, that counts as a separate web page. For example, if you visit the Mobile Internet homepage and click onto the mobile-adapted YouTube site, and then select one of the videos displayed there, you will have accessed three separate pages.

What about My Vodafone – do I pay for that?

All the My Vodafone pages are free to view, so you can browse your account information and manage your subscriptions and alerts for free once you’ve paid the daily connection fee. Just hit the live! button and select the My Vodafone link at the bottom of the Mobile Internet homepage.
