Wireless email reconciliation
Reconciliation means that any messages that are moved or deleted on your handheld are automatically moved or deleted on your BlackBerry account. Likewise, messages that are moved or deleted on your BlackBerry account are automatically moved or deleted on your handheld.
How to enable/disable reconciliation from your BlackBerry
- On your BlackBerry's Home screen, click the Messages icon. The Messages screen appears.
- Move cursor up to date/time. Click the trackwheel. A menu appears.
- Click Options. The Message List Options screen appears.
- Click on Email Reconciliation.
- In Email Reconciliation set the following fields
- Delete on - Mailbox and handheld
- Wireless reconciliation - on
- On Conflicts - Mailbox wins
- Click on back key and then save changes
How to enable/disable reconciliation on the Mobile Email site
- Go into Profiles and then Wireless Delete Options
- In Wireless Delete Options tick 'Enable permanent deletion of messages on WebClient when messages are deleted from the handheld' and then click save.
To reconcile the mailbox
- On the Home screen, click the Messages icon. The Messages screen appears.
- Move cursor up to date/time. Click the trackwheel. A menu appears.
- Select Reconcile Now
Deleting multiple messages from your BlackBerry
- Select Messages
- Scroll to date time at top of screen and press select
- Menu appears
- Select Delete Prior
- All open messages will be deleted
To delete all messages
- Select 'Mark Prior Opened'
- then select 'Delete Prior'
Copying your SIM contacts
- On the BlackBerry select 'Contacts'
- Press the trackwheel once. If there are some contacts showing in a lighter colour, select them one by one by clicking the trackwheel.
- Then select 'Copy All' to copy them to your address book
