When you use your phone abroad, Vodafone Ireland relies on foreign operators to carry your call to its destination. The foreign operator in turn charges Vodafone Ireland for this service, so unfortunately we have to charge our customers to cover those costs.
You must manually select our network in your phone when you travel. Please refer to your handset manual for full instructions. Check here for a list of Vodafone partner networks worldwide.
Most of our phones will work just about anywhere, but if you're heading to the USA, Canada or Latin America, you'll need a triband phone. In the Caribbean, you'll need a quadband phone. If you don't have one, don't worry - you can rent one for the duration of your trip. Find out more about mobile phone rentals.

If you enter your PIN code incorrectly 3 times, your phone will be blocked and you will need your PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) to unlock it.
Your PUK code is printed on your SIM certificate, which you would have received when you first got connected.
The universal code for unblocking the majority of handsets is **05*PUK*PIN*PIN#
Get your PUK code in My Vodafone.
You can also get your PUK by calling Business Care on 1907 (from any landline or mobile).
Just follow these steps once you've dialled:
