1. How do I register and get free call credit?

When you register a new Prepay phone or sim card online, we'll give you free call credit to say thanks for choosing Vodafone.

Existing customers

If you were already a Vodafone customer before you bought your new phone, then you just need to update your new phone details on My Vodafone.

New customers

  1. Activate your account by calling 1741 and press 1 to hear your balance.

2. Can I upgrade my phone?

If you’re a Pay Monthly customer, you can check your eligibility for an upgrade in My Vodafone. Better still, register your email address with us and we'll let you know directly!

If you’re Prepay, upgrading is the same as buying a new phone, and you still can get the free call credit. What's more, if you re-register your Upgrade Pack you can get up to €80 FREE credit!Have a look at our range of prepay phones.

3. How can I top up?

We offer a huge range of ways to top up, from topping up online, to topping up with your mobile using Vodafone Live!, to topping up by text message. You can also top up at ATMs and by buying vouchers in over 7,000 shops across the country. You can even get a Pay Monthly customer to send credit to your prepaid account with Top Me Up. And topping up while abroad is now easier than ever.

Most of our phones will work just about anywhere. But if you're jetting off to the USA, Canada or Latin America you'll need a triband phone. For a few countries in the Caribbean, you'll need a quadband phone. Check out our roaming section and you'll find all the facts there.

Learn how to top up while abroad

If you're a Prepaid customer, you need never be out of credit while roaming with Vodafone. There are several ways you can top up when abroad, including buying vouchers in local shops. Learn more about topping up when abroad.

If you want to top up before you leave, there are many vending machines in Dublin and Cork Airport with Vodafone top ups available.

5. How do I view my billing and account details?

Pay Monthly customers

Keep track of your mobile usage by viewing or printing your most recent Vodafone bills on My Vodafone. Your usage report displays analysis of your billing information, including your most frequently dialled numbers, your most expensive calls and a breakdown of your daily/hourly usage.

If you have any trouble understanding your bill, there is further information to help you with the detail included in your monthly bill.

Prepay customers

In My Vodafone, you can see your remaining call credit and view your top up history.

6. How do I unlock my phone (PUK number)?

If you enter your PIN code incorrectly 3 times, your phone will be blocked and you will need your PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) to unlock it.

You can log on to My Vodafone to view your PUK code to unblock your mobile

You can also get your PUK by calling 1907 if you’re Pay Monthly

Or 1850 308787 if you’re Prepay.

Follow these steps if you’re Pay Monthly

  1. Dial 1907
  2. From the main menu, press '2' for service & settings and enter your Second Level password
  3. From this menu, press '1' for the PUK options
  4. Press '1' to hear your PUK, or '2' to hear instructions on how to unblock your phone.

Follow these steps if Prepay

  1. Dial 1747 (if you're calling from a mobile) or 1850 20 40 20 (if you're calling from a landline)
  2. From the main menu, press '2' for Services & Settings
  3. From this menu, press '1' for the PUK menu
  4. To get your PUK, press '1'
  5. For your unblocking information press '2'
  6. If you have a Nokia phone choose option 1 to get the unblocking instructions
  7. If you have another handset choose option 2 and you will be put through to a customer service representative

7. I lost my phone/My phone was stolen. What do I do?
