Discounts for existing mobile customers, new phone lines & BT customers

Do I get a loyalty discount for being an existing Vodafone mobile customer?

If you are an existing personal postpay (that is, billed monthly) Vodafone mobile customer, you are eligible for a loyalty discount on Vodafone At Home. Just be sure to mention this when you sign up - if you sign up online, you will have an opportunity to identify yourself as an existing customer during the order process.

If you are an existing Vodafone at Home customer and personal Postpay customer and are not availing of the discount, simply give us a call on 1907 and we’ll apply it. If you cease your personal postpay mobile service (for example, if you switch operators, or move to a pay as you go service) then you will no longer receive the loyalty discount for Vodafone At Home, and you will be charged at standard rates for your service

I migrated from BT - what are the call rates associated with my service?

Please see the Tariff Sheet that applies to customers who were migrated from BT.

I have recently migrated from BT - do I get a loyalty discount for being an existing Vodafone mobile customer?

If you are an existing personal postpay (that is, billed monthly) Vodafone mobile customer, you are eligible for a loyalty discount on our standard advertised Vodafone At Home landline and fixed broadband bundles. This would involve a few changes to your service:

  1. Your calls would be charged as per the standard Vodafone At Home tariff sheet (see www.vodafone.ie/homebroadband/otherathomecharges).
  2. You can choose either to continue to avail of unlimited calls to UK landlines, or to remove them and save even more on your monthly bundle.

If you would like to avail of this, simply give us a call on 1907 and we'll switch you over. (Note that a 12 month minimum term contract will apply to your new bundle.) If you cease your personal postpay mobile service (for example, if you switch operators, or move to a pay as you go service) then you will no longer receive the loyalty discount for Vodafone At Home, and you will be charged at standard rates for your service. Once you move to a standard advertised Vodafone At Home bundle, you cannot move back to your original BT equivalent bundle.

Not sure what's what or need help deciding?

I'd like to talk to someone in Vodafone about buying home broadband. Who do I call?

We're happy to answer any broadband questions you might have, so please call us on freephone 1800 805 014.

What does 'up to 24Mb' mean?

Our new landline & fixed broadband packages offer broadband speeds of up to 24Mb to residential customers. This means your broadband package can reach speeds up to a maximum of 24Mbps (megabytes per second) depending on several factors:

  • The distance of your home to your nearest local exchange
  • The quality of your copper pair landline

Signing up for a 24Mb package means you will get the fastest broadband your landline can support, up to a maximum of 24Mb, with a minimum speed of 9Mb.

Check your line and sign up for a 24Mb package today - from €56 for offpeak and €60 for anytime plans.

What do I need to get broadband?

To sign up for Vodafone At Home broadband, you’ll need the following:

  1. A working phone line that’s suitable for broadband. You can check your line now.
  2. UAN/EAN from your current service provider (eircom, BT, etc). We'll explain how to get this number during the order process.
  3. A PC or Mac running any version of Windows, Mac OS or Unix/Linux operating systems.

What kind of contract do I sign?

When you order Vodafone At Home, you are subject to a minimum 12-month contract.

What happens if I cancel before the contract has elapsed?

If you cancel your Vodafone service before the end the minimum contract period, you will be required to pay the outstanding balance on your contract (ie your monthly commitment multiplied by the number of months remaining).

Are DSFA customers eligible for Vodafone At Home services?

Yes.

Do I need to do anything else if I have a monitored phone alarm?

You will need to contact the supplier of your monitored alarm as they will need to carry out some work on the lines before we can activate your broadband service.

What happens if I'm moving house?

If you're moving house, contact us on 1907 to disconnect your current phone line.

What promotions are you offering at the moment?

For a limited time only, Vodafone is offering an amazing landline reconnection promotion on 500,000 selected landlines.

If your landline is currently inactive, you may qualify for a 50% discount on your selected Vodafone At Home home phone and broadband bundle for the first year! Bundle price reverts to standard pricing thereafter.

This promotion is available on selected landlines only, and ends on 1st July 2011.

After you buy, what happens next?

What happens after I order?

Once you have ordered Vodafone At Home, several things must happen before your home phone / home broadband connection is activated.

  1. Your home phone line is transferred to Vodafone. This will take a maximum of 10 working days to complete (average is 5 working days).
  2. Your home broadband connection will then be activated. This will take a maximum of 15 days to complete (average is 10 working days).
  3. Once your home phone and home broadband connection are active, you will receive a welcome letter informing you that your line is active. If you have ordered a wireless modem, you will also be informed that it is being dispatched.
  4. After it has been dispatched, your wireless modem will be delivered in approximately 2 or 3 days. Once you receive it, simply follow the easy instructions in the modem's User Guide to install your modem.

When I get broadband, what do I need to do with my Internet dial-up account?

When you connect to Vodafone At Home broadband, you should contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to ensure that any previous dial-up internet accounts are cancelled.

Vodafone accepts no responsibility for call charges incurred by customers who continue to dial up to the internet when they have Vodafone broadband installed.
