How did Vodafone partner with Kerry County Council?
The council had a high volume of inter-office and mobile calls, which was impacting heavily on monthly call costs. So we built a VPN, which we integrated into the council’s existing infrastructure. Now all calls to any mobile number are automatically carried on the Vodafone network.
"The transition to Vodafone was seamless," says Padraig Daughton, Network Analyst at Kerry County Council. "Our phone system was down for only five minutes one evening after working hours. We didn't have to make any changes to our current telecoms infrastructure either so the investment was minimal."
"This will not only reduce our mobile spend, we will also be able to avail of free internal office calls. This will result in significant savings for us each month."
